BytePro Enterprise Features: Object Permissions

BytePro Enterprise is Byte Software’s SQL-based loan origination software, with leading features in the areas of compliance, auditing, file access and control.

One of BytePro Enterprise's most powerful features is the application of "object permissions" to security profiles. A BytePro Enterprise security profile is a set of permissions applied to each Enterprise user. By applying object permissions to security profiles, you can control what users can see, edit and order. Specifically, here is what object permissions can do.

Determine which screens the user can view
Set individual fields in the file as edit or read-only
Determine which documents the user can print/email
Determine which services the user can order
Determine which default screens the user can view/edit
Determine which menu items the user can pull down from the BytePro menu bar

Object permission can be customized based on the loan status, making them even more useful. Here are a few examples of how object permissions can be used.

You could choose to allow loan officers to pull credit only until a file goes to processing.
Loan officers may not be granted access to Flood Certification requests ever in the life of the file.
The loan application data could be made read-only for everyone but the processor and the broker after submission.

Object permissions are a benefit to everyone. Management can worry less because employees have fewer options, and employees can worry less because it is harder to make a change or order a service that is not approved.

If you use ACT! with LoanToolbox 3.0 – ByteSync is for you! It will synchronize loan data between Byte and LoanToolbox, eliminate the need to re-key information and streamline your marketing and contact management processes.

ByteSync exports hundreds of fields, including borrower information, first and second loan data and parties’ information into ACT!. With a few clicks, you can easily create a new ACT! contact or merge data into existing contacts. ByteSync imports borrower information and proposed loan information automatically from ACT!, allowing you to create new BytePro loan files.

BytePro Enterprise SDK

Do you need to connect BytePro to your other software systems? If so, you should consider the BytePro Software Development Kit (SDK).

Utilizing the SDK, software engineers can create stand alone applications requiring minimal or no user interaction. Capabilities include the ability to import or export data in and out of BytePro using industry standards including Fannie Mae and MISMO file formats. Custom add-ins can also be integrated directly into the menu items within BytePro allowing the user to access functionality without leaving BytePro.

The BytePro SDK is included with BytePro Enterprise at no additional cost.
The SDK also allows software developers, such as web site and CRM vendors, to write interfaces that enable BytePro users to send data to and from their systems. Those interfaces can be distributed freely to BytePro end-users.

Tech Tip!

Did you know...Some of our lenders require a submitted 3.2 version Fannie Mae file? Here's how you create one:

Open the BytePro loan file. Click Interfaces (Menubar) >> Lenders >> Export Fannie Mae file.
For the Validation Level, choose ‘Underwriting’ for a full submission or ‘Credit’ for a credit only.
Choose the file version, 3.2, and note the destination path for the file below.
Click ‘Create File’.
Use ‘Review and Fix’ to correct any errors, if necessary (the file will not be created if there are errors).
Following your lender's instructions, go to the lender Web site and initiate a file import. You will need to browse to where the file was saved.
