Custom Screen Designer (Enterprise Only)

The BytePro Custom Screen Module allows administrators to create sophisticated new screens within BytePro using an intuitive visual designer. This module is an optional add-on feature for BytePro Enterprise.

Key Features

  • Create an unlimited number of custom screens.
  • Append custom screens to the top or bottom of existing screens. 
  • Use a wide variety of controls including labels, text boxes, drop-down lists, check boxes, pictures and command buttons. 
  • Use validation rules to validate information on custom screens.
  • Create calculated custom fields using formulas similar to those found in popular spreadsheet programs. Calculated fields can be used for anything from secondary marketing to commission calculations.

Visual screen designer

The screen designer allows you to position controls on the screen wherever you like using drag-and-drop actions.

A wide variety of controls are available

Controls include:

  • Text Boxes allow the user to type in any appropriate value.
  • Check Boxes allow the user to check the box to indicate Yes or uncheck the box to indicate No. 
  • Dropdown Lists allow the user to select a value from a pre-defined list.
  • Data Pickers allow the user to select a date using a calendar control.
  • Email Boxes allow the user to press a button next to an email address in order to send an email.
  • Web Links allow the user to open a Web site.  
  • Goto Buttons allow the user to navigate to a different BytePro screen. Goto Buttons can also be used in conjunction with the SDK to perform just about any action.
  • Pictures can be used to display your company's logo or any other image you like. 
  • Panels and Group Boxes can be used to group similar controls together.

Property Grid

The property grid in the screen designer allows you to set many properties of each control including:

  • Font type
  • Font size
  • Font color
  • Background color
  • Text alignment (left, right, center)
  • Tab index
