System Requirements

System requirements for each edition of BytePro are listed below.  BytePro requires Microsoft Internet Explorer and is not compatible with Chrome, Mozilla, or Safari.

BytePro Standard

System Requirements for BytePro Standard:

  • Operating System: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP.
  • RAM: 1 GB (Windows 8, Windows 7 or Windows Vista); 512 MB RAM (Windows XP)
  • Monitor: 800 x 600 monitor resolution (1024 x 768 recommended)

BytePro Enterprise

The BytePro Enterprise system is composed of two parts: a central server that hosts the SQL Server database, and any number of client PCs that access the database. System requirements for both the server and client computers are listed below.

BytePro Enterprise Server Requirements

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2005. All editions of each version are supported, including the Express editions.
  • Server requirements vary considerably based on the version of SQL Server and the operating system. See the Microsoft website for SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 specifications. You may also contact us for more information.
  • As a general rule, the amount of space required for the SQL database is 50 MB plus 250 KB per loan file. For instance, 1000 loan files would require approximately 50 MB + (250 KB * 1000) = 300 MB of space on the server. Additional space will be required if your service providers return large data files into BytePro (for instance appraisal reports with images). Additional space will also be required for document storage (for instance images of paystubs, tax returns, etc).  

BytePro Enterprise Client PC Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP.
  • RAM: 1 GB (Windows 8, Windows 7 or Windows Vista); 512 MB RAM (Windows XP)
  • Monitor: 800 x 600 monitor resolution (1024 x 768 recommended)

BytePro Online

System requirements for BytePro Online:

  • Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
  • Internet connection
  • 800 x 600 monitor resolution (1024 x 768 recommended)
  • Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and higher, Windows XP Service Pack 3.  
  • Internet connection: DSL or equivalent for home offices. T1 or equivalent for branch offices.

BytePro Loan Modification Edition

The system requirements for the BytePro Loan Modification Edition are the same as those for the BytePro Enterprise Edition (see above) because they share the same platform.

In addition, the BytePro Loan Modification Edition requires Microsoft® Word 2000 or later to print the modification documents.
