Release Notes - BytePro 6.0
BytePro 6.0 Update 1
FHA Annual MI Premiums: The FHA annual MI premium percentage update detailed in Mortgagee Letter 2012-04 includes percentage changes for two separate case number assignment date ranges.
For loan files with case numbers assigned on or after April 9, 2012 but prior to June 11, 2012 the FHA annual MI premium percentage will increase by 0.10%.
Loan files with case numbers assigned on or after June 11, 2012 will have new annual MI premium percentages applied in accordance with Mortgagee Letter 2012-04.
New files created on or after April 9, 2012 but prior to June 11 will automatically set the file's case number assignment range to 'Between April 9, 2012 and June 10, 2012'. The file's annual MI percentage default will correspond to that range.
New files created on or after June 11, 2012 will have the case number assignment range set to 'On or after June 10, 2012' with corresponding MI percentage default.
Adjust the case number assigned date, if necessary, in the Loan Info section on the Home screen by choosing the correct date range from the 'Case No Assigned' dropdown list below Base Loan.
FHA Annual MI premiums for Streamlined Refinances with Original Endorsement Date on or before May 31, 2009: FHA streamlined refinance loan files with a case number assignment date on or after June 11, 2012 with an original endorsement date on or before May 31, 2009 will decrease the annual MI premium percentage to .55%. Refer to Mortgagee Letter 2012-04 for details. An Original Endorsement Date field was added to the top of the FHA Refinance Maximum Loan Amount calculation screen (click the Calculate link to the right of Base Loan).
FHA UFMIP: The FHA upfront mortgage insurance premium percentage is increased to 1.75% for loan files with case numbers assigned on or after April 9, 2012. The UFMIP percentage applied to the loan file will be based on the selected case number assignment range.
FHA UFMIP for Streamlined Refinances with Original Endorsement Date on or before May 31, 2009: The FHA UFMIP will decrease to 0.01% for loan files with case numbers assigned on or after June 11, 2012 that have an original endorsement date on or before May 31, 2009. The UFMIP premium percentage change will be applied to new loan files based on the selected case number assignment range and the Original Endorsement Date (on the FHA refinance max loan amount screen).
IRS 4506-T: Updated to the January 2012 version.
Doc Storage: Increased the speed with which AUS findings and other HTML documents are converted to PDF format.
FHA Maximum Loan Limits: Updated the loan limits to the amounts in effect as of January 1, 2012.
Tasks (Standard Only): Resolved an issue with 'file not found' message displayed when a task is created after the user connects to a secondary data folder.
BytePro 6.0 Key Features
Emailing - SMTP Options: Added support for SMTP encryption and authentication. This allows emailing directly out of BytePro to a corporate Exchange server or many common Internet mail providers such as Gmail, Hotmail and AOL.
RegulatorConnect LEF file: Added the ability to submit LEF files to RegulatorConnect. To edit the loan information select Goto > Tracking > RegulatorConnect. To submit the loan information select Tools > RegulatorConnect. For more information please see the help guide.
Tasks: Added a tasks feature that allows you to track multiple 'to-do' items on each loan file. Tasks can be visible or invisible to users based on their role and which loan files they can access. All tasks that are visible to a user can be viewed on the Tasks view (directly below the Dashboard view). Task can be associated with needed items in the Processing Log, and notifications can be sent when tasks are created and completed. Tasks can be created automatically when needed items are edited and when the loan status changes. For more information please see the help guide.
Text Messaging: Added support for sending text messages to borrowers and other parties. Most places in the program that have a mobile phone now have a blue link directly to the left of the mobile phone field. Click on the link and then press the Select button to select the mobile phone carrier. Once the phone number and carrier have been entered, you can send a text message to the phone via email.
Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset (ULDD) (Enterprise Only): Added the ability to export loan information in ULDD format for loan delivery to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. From the main menu, select GoTo > Back Office > ULDD. For more information see the help guide. If you are using ULDD in BytePro Standard, please contact Byte Software support for assistance.
BytePro 6.0 Additional Features
1008 Transmittal: Added several new values to the Underwriting Method in support of ULDD.
Application Summary: Added the borrower email address to the Application Summary document.
Assessed Value: Added the subject property assessed value to the Home page.
Custom Documents (Enterprise Only): Added the ability to include 'needed items' and other lists of data on custom documents. Add either a TextBox or a RichTextBox to a custom document, then click on the assist button next to the DataField property. On the Select Data dialog, click the Reports button at the top of the screen, and then select a pre-defined custom report. When the custom document is generated the contents of the custom report will be placed into the TextBox or RichTextBox. The amount of space used for each column on the custom document is determined by the column width defined in the custom report. Please Note: if one of the columns in the custom report contains data that may wrap onto multiple lines, then the formatting works correctly only when there are only two columns in the custom report and the second column contains the data that will wrap.
Custom Reports - Compact View: Added a "Compact" Display Style for "Data Grid with Detail Grid" reports. Open a "Data Grid with Detail Grid" report, and then click on the tab labeled "Detail Grid Fields". Select either Expanded or Compact from the Display Style dropdown. The Expanded style is the default style and groups the results by loan file. The Compact style allows results from multiple files to be intermingled. For instance, using the Compact style you can display all of the needed items that have not been received sorted so that the most overdue items are shown first.
Custom Word Documents: Added the ability to include 'needed items' and other lists of data on Word documents. While editing a Word Document, click on the New Field button. On the Select Data dialog, click the Reports button at the top of the screen, and then select a pre-defined custom report. When the Word document is generated the contents of the custom report will be included as a field in the Word Document. Please Note: if one of the columns in the custom report contains data that may wrap onto multiple lines, then it is recommended that that column be the last column in the custom report. Use the Word ruler to set tab stop for each field. Set a hanging indent at the last tab stop location so that the data in the last column wraps correctly onto the next line.
DataVerify DRIVE: Enhanced the DataVerify DRIVE interface to send much more information about the loan file, including most loan participants.
Follow Up Flags: Added the ability to customize the names associated with the follow up flags (the red, blue, orange, green, purple and yellow flags). In the Security Manager, select the Follow Up Flags tab.
Interthinx FraudGUARD: Added an interface to Interthinx FraudGUARD. Go to Interfaces > Fraud Detection to open the interface.
Mortgage Insurance: The 'PMI Type' on new loan files now defaults to 'None'. Previously it defaulted to 'Monthly'. The 'PMI Type' is located directly beneath the Base Loan field in the Loan Info section of the Home page.
The value 'Lender Paid' has also been added to the 'PMI Type' list.
Servicing Disclosure: Added an option to print a "Flood Insurance Coverage Subject to Change Disclosure" notice on the servicing disclosure. This is a requirement being imposed by certain investors; it is not a RESPA requirement. To include this notice on the Servicing Disclosure, go to Customize > Utilities > Servicing Disclosure, and check the box labeled "Include Flood Insurance Coverage Subject to Change Disclosure".
Startup: Added the ability to select which view is displayed at startup: Loan Files, Dashboard, Tasks, or the Most Recently Displayed view. By default, the view that was active when the program was closed (e.g. the Most Recently Displayed view) is shown when the program is started. To edit this setting, go to Customize > Defaults > Startup
Stored Documents and Printing (Enterprise Only): Resolved an issue that prevented documents from being printed under certain conditions if the user did not have permission to add stored documents.
VA Form 26-1880: Updated VA form 26-1880 (Request for a Certificate of Eligibility). The updated form is dated September 2011.
BytePro 6.0 Resolved Issues
Closing Cost Estimates: Changed the closing costs estimates so that formulas based on "Price/Value" now use the appraised value on refinance loans (if the appraised value is not entered the estimated value will be used). The calculations for purchase transactions were not changed; the purchase price will always be used.
Closing Costs Estimates: Fixed an issue that caused closing cost estimates to be filtered incorrectly when creating a new file from a template file.
Closing Documents Interfaces: Fixed an "Attempt to Divide by Zero" error that occurred when submitting to closing docs providers. The error occurred only on refinance loans when the estimated value was missing.
Closing Documents Interfaces: Resolved an issue with incorrect data being sent for RESPA servicing disclosure fields.
Custom Field Permissions: Fixed a problem that caused custom fields on custom screens to appear disabled (grayed out) when they were actually editable.
Custom Reports: Fixed the following issue: Custom Reports that had more than one 'Prompt at Runtime field' were prompting the user for only the first field.
Custom Word Documents: Fixed an intermittent issue that caused a "file ... not found" error when printing Word documents using Word 2010.
DataVerify IRS 4506-T: Resolved issues with the incorrect information being sent in the BusinessName and EIN fields.
Fannie Mae DO, DU, XIS and EarlyCheck: Changed the Fannie Mae export file to remove 'greater than' and 'less than' symbols (> and <). These symbols can cause submission errors.
FHA MI Annual Premium: Corrected the recommended value for the FHA MI Annual Premium when the term is 15 years or less and the initial LTV is 78% or less. Under these conditions there should be no MI annual premium, as clarified in Mortgagee Letter 2011-35.
Good Faith Estimate Page 2: Fixed an issue that caused the "Copy Estimates" button to be disabled if the Estimated Value was not entered on a refinance loan.
Macros: Changed the "On Printing Or Previewing" macro to be triggered only when a document associated with a loan file is printed. Previously the macro was being triggered when management reports were printed.
Multiple Monitors: Fixed an issue that sometimes caused windows (such as the print preview window) to be placed incorrectly on multiple monitor systems. Under certain conditions windows were displayed outside of the viewable monitor area, causing them to disappear.
Shoppable Providers: Fixed the following issue: If the Shoppable Providers disclosure printed on two pages the footer on the second page would read "page 1 of 2".
Stored Documents: Added the ability to select more than one document in the open file dialog box when adding documents on the Stored Documents screen.
