We have a huge Byte Classic database - over 2000 loan files. We imported the files to BytePro, and BytePro is running very slow. What do we do?

There are two solutions

1) Upgrade to BytePro Enterprise, which stores loan files in a SQL database. Tens of thousands of loan files can be stored with no performance problems.

2) If you are using BytePro Standard we suggest splitting your active files into two or more subfolders, dropping the file count to 1000 or less per subfolder. The folder indexing could be based on loan officer user names, or any other criteria that works well for you.

To create additional subfolders, use My Computer or My Network Places to browse to the data folder, open it, open the Files folder, and click File >> New >> Folder to create a new Files subfolder (ex. name, Active A - Mo). Back in BytePro, choose the new subfolder from the Sub folder drop down list.

Complete reports will not be a problem. BytePro management reports can be directed to span the file subfolders within a data folder.
