After I install a Byte update, and open Byte on my computer, it hangs. What should I do?

The first time an application with an updated version of Byte accesses the main database, it goes through the database, making changes to update the database to the new version. This can take several minutes, up to half an hour for a large database. For the majority of that period, you will see only a blank screen on the updating computer. This is normal. When the database update is complete, Byte will open normally.
