I am getting an error message that says "type mismatch" when I go into a certain Byte loan file. What should I do?

  1. Open the Byte file that is displaying that error message.
  2. Click Borrower in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then click Status from the dropdown list.
  3. Note the lock expiration date at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Delete the date from the lock expiration date field.
  5. If this file should not have a lock expiration date, click OK to exit the status screen.
  6. If the lock expiration date is valid for this file, reselect the date by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the field that is to the right of the lock expiration date. Select a number from the dropdown list (in days) that will get you in the neighborhood of the date you need. Adjust the date up or down as needed by clicking the + and - buttons.
  7. Click OK to exit the screen.

Note: Always select the lock expiration date this way.
