How do I move a file from BytePro to Byte Classic?
You will need to create a Fannie Mae formatted file to import to Byte. This file will not contain all of your BytePro file information; it will consist primarily of loan and borrower info.
- Open BytePro, and open the loan file to export.
- Click Interfaces (menu bar) >> Lenders >> Export Fannie Mae File.
- Choose 3.2 for the File Version, choose Minimum for the Validation Level and click Create File. Note the stored location of the created file.
- Open Byte, start a new loan file, and choose Fannie Mae File from the Import Source dropdown list on the Byte New File screen.
- Browse to the Fannie Mae file generated from BytePro (if you have just created the file, it should be in My Documents\BytePro\Temp). Look for the file name and a .fnm extension. Click Open, and then OK on the New File screen to create the new Byte file.
