How is the annual support policy changing?

Effective July 1, 2008, Byte Software is changing its annual support pricing policies.

There are now separate support prices based on when the support subscription is purchased:

  • Renewal pricing applies if the support subscription is purchased before the support expiration date.
  • Restart pricing applies if the support subscription is purchased after the support expiration date.

Support Pricing

The price for the support subscription varies based on the Byte Software product:

BytePro Standard

  • Renewal Pricing:  $300 for 1 to 10 users and $30 per user for 11 or more users.
  • Restart Pricing: $400 for 1 to 10 users and $40 per user for 11 or more users.

Byte Classic

  • Renewal Pricing: $300 per site.
  • Restart Pricing: $400 per site.

Future Changes

Effective January 1, 2009, customers using both BytePro Standard and Byte Classic must purchase support subscriptions for both products.

Q: How do I find my support expiration date?

A: Open your Byte LOS and select Help >> Technical Support from the menubar at the top of the screen. Your support expiration date is listed directly under your user number.

Q:  My support subscription is currently expired. Can I avoid the restart price by renewing before July 1, 2008?

A: Yes, with regulatory changes on the horizon, now is a great time to renew your support subscription.
